A new name, not new to IT
Chittering IT is me, Andy. I have spent around 25 years working in IT and managed service environments, looking after everything from two-person businesses through to large enterprise organisations.
Chittering IT is a new brand. The experience behind it is not.

Why I started it
Good IT support shouldn't stop at the city limits
Out here, getting help with a computer or a connection usually means driving into Perth, waiting days for someone to come out, or being talked through a script by a call centre that has never seen your property.
Meanwhile the problems are often harder than they are in town. Properties are bigger, the internet takes more thought, and the nearest technician is an hour away. That combination is exactly what my background is suited to.
So Chittering IT exists to give people here the same standard of support I spent 25 years providing to much larger organisations, from someone who lives down the road.
How I work
- I come out firstFor a new customer I aim to visit in person, so I can see the property and understand the setup rather than guess at it.
- Plain English, alwaysYou get an explanation you can act on, not jargon designed to make the problem sound harder than it is.
- Honest adviceIf something is not worth repairing, I will say so. If you do not need the expensive option, I will not sell it to you.
- Remote help afterwardsOnce I know your setup, the next problem can often be sorted without another trip out.

Where I work
Local, and staying that way
I cover the Shire of Chittering and the surrounding areas. Staying local is deliberate: it is what lets me get to people quickly and keep knowing the properties I look after.
Homes and businesses
Both get the same approach: see it properly, fix the cause, explain it in words that make sense.
